Creating a Haven

Space Equals Tranquility

Your house or apartment may call to you today, offering you pleasures you cannot find anywhere else. Because you likely are enjoying a wonderfully tranquil mood, you may find yourself putting aside your day’s responsibilities in order to focus on nourishing your soul in private. Swaddled in the peaceful atmosphere of your home, you can relax and indulge in all those activities that make you feel content and fulfilled.

If, however, your comforting visions of what home should be do not correspond with the realities of your personal space today, you may need to spend some time clearing away clutter, cleaning, and rearranging your possessions—generally making your home a more satisfying place to be—before you can unwind.

Our homes as well as our offices  become havens when we take steps to fashion tranquil spaces that are imbued with qualities that encourage relaxation and restfulness. Through the removal of clutter and the clearing of spaces, we make certain that energy can flow naturally through our houses and apartments. Thus, we can refresh ourselves easily, returning to the refuges we create each time we feel overburdened by worldly concerns.

When our personal spaces are beautiful, we are reminded that there is more than enough loveliness in the world to counteract the ugliness that exists. Upon returning home each day, our spirits are lifted and we slip into the familiar warmth and comfort with an ease reminiscent of rebirth.

Clearing a Space for Change

The Weight of Objects

In life, we tend to have an easier time acquiring possessions than we do getting rid of them.. Just as we harbor emotional baggage that is difficult to let go of, our lives can tend to be filled with material objects that we may feel compelled to hold on to. Most people are not conscious of how much they own and how many of their possessions are no longer adding value to their life. They fiercely hold on to material objects because this makes them feel secure or comfortable. While it’s true that the ownership of “stuff” can make you feel good for awhile, it seldom satisfies the deep inner longings that nearly everyone has for fulfillment and satisfaction. It is only when we are ready to let go of our baggage and be vulnerable that it becomes possible to recognize the emotional hold that our possessions can have on us.

It’s not uncommon to hold on to material objects because we are attached to them or fear the empty spaces that will remain if we get rid of them. Giving away the souvenirs from a beloved voyage may feel like we are erasing the memory of that time in our life. We may also worry that our loved ones will feel hurt if we don’t keep the gifts they’ve given us.

It’s easy to convince ourselves that unused possessions might come in handy someday or that parting with them will cause you emotional pain. However, when your personal space is filled with objects, there is no room for anything new to enter and stay in your life. Your collection of belongings may “protect” you from the uncertainties of an unknown future while keeping you stuck in the past.. Holding on to unnecessary possessions often goes hand in hand with holding on to pain, anger, and resentment, and letting go of your material possessions may help you release emotional baggage.

When you make a conscious decision to fill your personal space with only the objects that you need or bring you joy, your energy level will soar. Clearing your personal space can lead to mental clarity and an improved memory. As you learn to have a more practical and temporary relationship to objects, positive changes will happen, and you’ll have space to create the life that you desire.

Energizers and Colorizers

In feng shui and in space clearing there are  techniques that energize the “new space” and  are observed once the space is clean, clear and ready for brand new energy.

Perhaps we have opened  a room to become something else as in an alcove becoming  a meditation space or perhaps we have cleared a kitchen of age old clutter like spice jars that are now empty or appliances that no longer function.

At the end of our clearing it is important to “rebirth” the space with a new purpose and often lighting a simple candle does this symbolic act perfectly.

There are  9  “colorizers” that anchor the new frequencies of space clearing.  Remember we have moved tremendous amounts of energy as every possesion you own is made up of energy and by doing this we have actually created new frequencies.  This is what you first ‘feel’ when you enter a room. A newly cleared space feels wonderful to be standing in.

  • The first color is red . This candle is lit for motivation, action and accomplishment so this may be the right color for the career part of your home or perhaps for the children/creativity section of your home thus helping children enjoy doing their homework more.
  • Pink is the candle color  for Passion and Love of Life. A bedroom  candle of pink  may stir up one’s passion and bring on the magic of 2 partners in love.
  • Orange is the candle color for creativity and confidence and may be appreciated most in the fame and fortune part of your home.  Once  this area is cleared it is amazing how many people become more gainfully acclaimed or employed.
  • Yellow is the color for hope, joy and happiness and works well in any room as well as the color of candles on your birthday cake.
  • Green is the color of harmony, healing and vibrancy and is of course a wonderful candle to light the health segment of your home once we have cleared that.
  • Turquoise is the color candle for ancient resonance  and inner calm and every space can benefit from the energy of this color.
  • A Blue candle  stands for truth, integrity and purpose and wonderful for the career  section  of your home.
  • Purple is the color of prosperity and power and because every home has an area devoted to prosperity this is the final touch for activating new experinces once the space has been cleared of stuck energy.
  • Finally a white candle symbolizes clarity, simplicity and purity. In my home I burn white candles in every room  because i want my life to be simple and clear !

Spring Clean Your Life – Clear The Clutter – Find Yourself

Legend has it that when Michaelangelo finished the statue of David  a local patron, awestruck by the work, asked how he did it… the response was ” David was always there in the marble- I just took away everything that wasn’t David”.

By using a similar approach to clutter we end up with so much more than a tidier, well organized home; we get a clearer idea of who we are becoming. With  focus and quidance you can chisel your way through all the  extraneous marble that stands in the way of  your best self. I can help you chip away at the “stuff” that may be holding you back from the life that you really want.

When  we surround ourselves in clutter even if its packed away in the attic it  influences our thinking. When we  clear the clutter we will be “SPRING CLEANING YOUR LIFE!”

When we clear your closets you will be excited to find once and for all what you wish to look like…how you wish to present yourself to the world…sometimes our clothes represent old regrets or mistakes.

Often when we clear  bathroom vanities and medicine chests we reveal that we have harbored various illnesses as part of an old identity and we decide to surround ourselves with only things that inspire wellness…we start to choose health instead of illness.

With spring decluttering (space clearing) make this the year your life evolves into something better than you have imagined thus far…another chance at creating space for a brand new beginninging- a new self- opening the windows of oppurtunity to come in perhaps  for the first time in a new space for a new you!

Together lets clear the stress energies of your home and office.  Together lets get to the cause of your clutter and lets connect energetically to the matrix of your space!
